Project Description:
Several years ago, AIS develop a homegrown cross platform
job scheduling package to interface with our mainframe scheduling software
package CA-Jobtrac. This allowed
operators the ability to schedule from one central location. While this provided AIS a short-term
solution, it has become noticeable that CA is not making any significant
changes to CA-Jobtrac to move toward a more robust enterprise scheduling
system. A team will be put
together to investigate enterprise system scheduling packages for AIS and
EBSP.
The team will determine appropriate selection and
evaluation criteria. Ensure that
solutions fit within the AIS and University computing infrastructure. Make recommendation of solutions and
implementation approach to AIS leadership.
