AIS offers a variety of non-credit computing courses and workshops through the
Libraries Computing & Technology Training Program. Courses cover a wide range of
topics on computing for the purpose of job training and career development. The LCTTP
Catalog is published each semester and lists course topics taught by all LC&T units
and includes course scheduling information and costs. For course descriptions visit http://train.msu.edu.
In addition to the regularly scheduled courses available through LCTTP, there are a
number of special options available.
 | Special Requests If you have five or more people in your office
who need training in a particular area, we can schedule a special session for you at your
convenience. |
 | Customized Classes If you don't see a course listed in the LCTTP
Catalog, we may be able to customize an existing class or even design a new class
that will meet your needs. |
 | One-on-One Onsite Training A variety of subject areas may be taught in
one-on-one sessions in your office. Courses include, but are not limited to: general
introduction to personal computers, Windows, e-mail, and beginning and/or advanced web
development. These sessions are intended to meet your specific needs and can be
customized. |
 | Faculty Seminars The Faculty Seminar Series is offered
exclusively to faculty twice a year at the end of fall and spring semester.
Faculty can sign up for up to two days of small group, hands-on instruction in
topics ranging from operating system basics, using Microsoft Office programs,
graphics software and web page authoring. The seminars are free, but advance
registration is requested. |
 | LCTTP Certificate Programs The Libraries,
Computing & Technology Training Program is pleased to offer a series of
certificate programs available to the entire MSU community. The classes
assigned to each certificate program have been selected to offer each
participant a comprehensive understanding of the skills required to stay
competitive in today’s technical environment. Please refer to
http://train.msu.edu/classinfo/certificate.htm for further information.
Participating in a certificate program is fun, flexible and easy! |
 | Alternative Scheduling We recognize that daytime classes are not always
the best for some people, so we are pleased to offer classes at night (6:00pm to 9:30pm)
and on Saturdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Check the LCTTP Catalog for these courses. |
For more details on these different options, to see the LCTTP Catalog or to register
for a class, please visit the LCTTP web site, contact
us at

time that is convenient for you.
